Phonemic Awareness

I am using many of the ideas along with my phonemic awareness materials with a small group of newcomers in my home for free.

How to Teach Pronunciation

It's more of a resource of idease than a how to/lesson but hopefully I can fully utilize some of the ideas.

it is clear and concise. The graphic is awful.

The materials are a complication of several authors and therefore there are several repetitions. That said it is full of good basic information, tips that are helpful and practical. Fewer sections that present the same and more actual examples of how to pronounce short vowels and blends would strengthen the product. I would recommend this book as a tool for an experienced teacher, but for the early teacher struggling with vowel sounds the material is lacking in explanation and teaching strategy materials. The Schawlow is discussed several times in several sections and although the material is quite good, the other vowel sound are not nearly as fully addressed. Thanks
